They
may have been conspicuous by their absence from the BBC's 'I Love 1975'
t.v. special - but to those of us who were there, Kipper were 1975!
Number One hits, sell-out gigs, a triumphant appearance at the Royal Variety
Show which shook the establishment to its foundations - the stuff of legend.
Remembered today for their spectacular participation in the box-office movie smash Confessions Of A Pop Performer, Kipper thumped their way back into public affection via their teaming with D.J. Heroin Addict for a 2002 chart-topper. Yet there's so much more to the story - sex, drugs, rock'n'roll, and above all, fighting, all helped make Kipper into the unrivalled pop music gods they once were! So join us now for a trip to Clapham - fists raised, boots kicking, and voices bellowing - and don't forget, we'll see you all dahn at the station, orwright?!
on drums - Zombie & Timmy Lea on guitar - Petal on bass - Eric on sax - Blow on piano & vocals - Nutter Normington on the take - Sid Noggett off their 'eads - KIPPER!!!! |
